  By: Yakuba Nyi  6th August, 2024. A member of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Taraba State (NYCN). Takum chapter, Comrade Reuben Indiri resigned his position with immediate effect. This was contained in a press statement released to newsmen on August 6, 2024. The statement explained that Indiri's resignation was born out of personal reasons. The statement further reads, "Dear NYCN,  I am writing to inform you of my intentions to resign as member of the media to the above body, with imminent effect, today, 6th of August 2024.  "My career goals have changed since I started working here, and as such, I feel the time has come for me to pursue other opportunities that aligned with my aspirations and moral principles.  I do regret any inconveniences my resignation will cause you, my dear co-workers; these personal reasons are beyond my control and must be attended to immediately.  "Thank you for the opportunity to serve as a member ...

Sopiya Ahmadu Gar-Gboshi III, the First Class Chief of Takum, convened a meeting with all District, Ward, and Village Heads, as well as the Chairman of the Takum Local Government Council, Hon. John Ali.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and understand why the people of Takum do not need to resort to protests to express their grievances about the hardships faced in Nigeria. During the meeting at the Chief's palace in Takum, the esteemed Chief urged the leaders to rally the youth in their respective areas to shun the upcoming nationwide demonstration scheduled for August 1, 2023. It should be noted that resilience and doggedness pay. He and a few others who graduated with first class merit it, as there was no good mentorship or otherwise. It came as a result of steadfastness, dedication, and resilience, to mention but a few. Joseph Joshua, accompanied His Excellency Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, the Deputy Governor of Taraba State, on a condolence visit to Takum, Ussa, and Yangtu Special Development Area to condole with the affected families in the recent violent clash that claimed the lives of ten (10) vibrant and eloquent youths of Ussa and Yangtu Special Development Area. According to the Honourable Commissioner, the purpose of the visit was to pave the way for lasting solutions and halt the tendency to perceive the reoccurrence of such a sad event. He further said that God is the giver of life, and only God should take lives when it's time. Taraba Govt Begins Construction Of Command Headquarters For Marshall.  Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Danjuma Adamu on Friday disclosed that the state government has embarked on the construction of command headquarters for state newly established security, (the Taraba Marshall). Adamu disclosed this during a press conference in Jalingo explained that the idea was to create a befitting atmosphere for the Marshall to help compliment the efforts of the security agencies in the fight against all forms of criminality in the state.
