His Majesty Barr. Sopiya Ahmadu Gar-Gboshi III, the First Class Chief of Takum, convened a meeting with all District, Ward, and Village Heads, as well as the Chairman of the Takum Local Government Council, Hon. John Ali.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and understand why the people of Takum do not need to resort to protests to express their grievances about the hardships faced in Nigeria.

During the meeting at the Chief's palace in Takum, the esteemed Chief urged the leaders to rally the youth in their respective areas to shun the upcoming nationwide demonstration scheduled for August 1, 2023.

Gar-Gboshi emphasized the importance of encouraging constructive dialogue and maintaining peaceful coexistence. He called on local leaders to actively engage their youth in discussions to help them understand why they should avoid and abstain from the protest.
He insisted that the country has faced similar situations in the past, which were never productive. Instead, these situations often aggravated the problems and affected the people's peace and harmony the more.
