A member of the media team of the NYCN Takum chapter resigns

  By: Yakuba Nyi  6th August, 2024. A member of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Taraba State (NYCN). Takum chapter, Comrade Reuben Indiri resigned his position with immediate effect. This was contained in a press statement released to newsmen on August 6, 2024. The statement explained that Indiri's resignation was born out of personal reasons. The statement further reads, "Dear NYCN,  I am writing to inform you of my intentions to resign as member of the media to the above body, with imminent effect, today, 6th of August 2024.  "My career goals have changed since I started working here, and as such, I feel the time has come for me to pursue other opportunities that aligned with my aspirations and moral principles.  I do regret any inconveniences my resignation will cause you, my dear co-workers; these personal reasons are beyond my control and must be attended to immediately.  "Thank you for the opportunity to serve as a member ...

Planned Protest: Gar Gboshi III Urges Youth to Shun Nationwide Protest

Sopiya Ahmadu Gar-Gboshi III, the First Class Chief of Takum, convened a meeting with all District, Ward, and Village Heads, as well as the Chairman of the Takum Local Government Council, Hon. John Ali.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and understand why the people of Takum do not need to resort to protests to express their grievances about the hardships faced in Nigeria. During the meeting at the Chief's palace in Takum, the esteemed Chief urged the leaders to rally the youth in their respective areas to shun the upcoming nationwide demonstration scheduled for August 1, 2023. Gar-Gboshi emphasized the importance of encouraging constructive dialogue and maintaining peaceful coexistence. By: Yakuba Nyi You will believe with me that it is because of the honourable councillor's ever-present concern about education and things that are academic that he has been championed with these golden showers of blessings. It should be noted that resilience and doggedness pay. He and a few others who graduated with first class merit it, as there was no good mentorship or otherwise. It came as a result of steadfastness, dedication, and resilience, to mention but a few. The honourable councillor was from a lower class of social stratification and strived to see himself in the university despite the financial incapacitation and other discouraging variables. His optimism caused him to succeed throughout his stay at the university, even though he was far behind, while most of his secondary classmates had experienced tertiary educational life before him.
